Wayne Highlands Middle School Presenting “Annie Jr.”

This Friday and Saturday the middle school will be hosting its annual operetta at the Honesdale performing arts center. This year’s show is Annie Jr. The show follows Annie, a charming orphan in 1930’s New York, in her journey to find a new home.

“It's been a pleasure working with these students,” said Director Lorissa Taraschuk, “We have just under forty of them, and I've learned so much from them over the last few months. We have persevered through a lot of extracurricular commitments that they've had, and a lot of sicknesses that they've had, and it's really come together to be just a wonderful show. We have quite the mix of sixth, seventh and eighth graders. So, some kiddos, this is their second or third time on stage, and for some it's their first time--but you would never know. They've truly grown into just the most amazing family. They look and sound so wonderful. I'm so excited for everybody to come and see it.”

The cast includes Audrianna Arens, Livian Bolella-St. Ledger, Juliana Bulger, Hannah Curtis, Ayla D'Albora, Owen Dennis, Madison Doherty, Leila Duda, Kismet Fazio, Jenna Fink, Anna Gladson, Macauley Gladson, Isabella Gonzalez, Gianna Hamilton, Amelia Hartung, Scarlett Klisiewicz, Brielle Knapp, Veda Korb, Charlotte Lockwood, Daisy Lukan, Charlotte Lyle, Audrey Menechino, Ryleigh Mosher, Addison Nacinovich, Peyton Panzella, Marco Pasquini, Landry Peterson, Greta Pierce, Avery Schneider, Adeline Siepiela, Makayla Smith, Raelyn Smith, Kendall Stinavage, Nola Stormfeltz, Bailey VanAntwerp, Teagan Whaley, and Aubrey Wise.
